Inbound/Outbound Email Protection
Inbound threats filtered. Outbound reputation protected. Email stays clean both ways.
Every domain on a Ready plan or higher gets industrial-grade spam filtering for free. Inbound mail is sorted on our infrastructure before it touches your mailbox. Outbound mail goes out clean, so your domain doesn't get blacklisted for someone else's compromised script.
What's included
Two directions of filtering. One panel in cPanel.
The inbound filter keeps your inbox clean without hiding the mail you need. The outbound filter protects your sending reputation, so your messages keep reaching people.

-
Self-learning inbound filter
The filter learns the patterns of your real mail. Catch rates climb as it adapts to your actual senders; false positives stay low because it knows who you talk to.
-
Spool-and-forward
If your mail server is briefly unreachable (maintenance, a network blip), inbound messages queue at the filter and deliver when you're back. No bounces, no lost mail.
-
Quarantine you actually control
A daily digest lists everything held back. Restore false positives in one click. Whitelist senders, train the filter, adjust sensitivity per domain. The filter listens.
-
Outbound reputation guard
If a mailbox on your account gets compromised, the outbound gateway (JetEmail) catches the surge before your domain ends up on every blocklist.
Before & after
What your inbox looks like by Tuesday.

Same five days. The 44 obvious ones never landed; the 3 that did are real. If we wrongly held something back, the digest shows you in one click.
Under the hood
Route. Filter. Deliver.
Inbound mail never touches your server until it's been scored. Outbound mail never leaves until it's been screened.
-
Route
MX records point at the filter cluster
When the filter is on, your domain's MX records automatically resolve to our spam-filter cluster, not directly to your hosting. Every inbound message lands there first.
-
Filter
Scored, sorted, signed off
Each message is scored against per-domain learned patterns, sender reputation, content signals, attachment scans, and known-bad lists. Obvious spam is rejected at SMTP. Borderline mail goes to quarantine.
-
Deliver
Clean mail forwards in milliseconds
Approved mail forwards to your mailbox. Quarantined mail surfaces in a daily digest. Restore false positives in one click, and the filter learns from every action you take.

FAQ
Common spam questions.
What people usually ask before letting a filter sit between them and their mail.
Which plans include the inbound spam filter?
Ready and above include it at no extra cost. Starter accounts can add it as a paid extra. The reason it's not on the entry-level plan: SpamExperts licensing is per-domain, and at $3.25/month we can't absorb it without raising the floor for everyone else.
Does it cover every domain on my hosting account?
By default, the primary domain on the account is included. Add-on and secondary domains is not.
What about outbound, the spam I might accidentally send?
Outbound filtering is part of mail delivery network (JetEmail) and enabled in all domains for free. If a mailbox on your account gets compromised and starts sending junk, the outbound gateway catches the surge before your domain ends up on every blocklist. Restoring sender reputation is much harder than preventing the damage in the first place.
How aggressive is the inbound filter?
Adjustable per domain. Default settings catch around 99% of obvious spam with very low false positives. If you handle marketing email or work with senders that other people consider spammy, you can loosen it. If you only correspond with a small known list, you can tighten it.
What doesn't the spam filter do?
It filters mail. It doesn't encrypt mail in transit (that's the free SSL on your hosting, which also secures IMAP and SMTP). It doesn't scan files on your server for malware (that's Imunify360, included on every plan). And it can't decide whether a real message deserves a reply.
